Life is a Cherry

Here is a photo of the second glaze of my "Cherries" still life.  I like the completely white backdrop, although I still have some shadowing and draping to accomplish.  And then there's that raspberry....I'm not happy with that one.  But there are more glazes to put on, so stay tuned for further updates...

Two Pears

I'm currently working on three oils, one of which is the Two Pears.  This still life has three glazes on it.  It's finally beginning to look like it is "supposed" to look.  Glazing oils with walnut alkyd is very rewarding because it dries so quickly that I can paint each evening!  Enjoy!

New Art for the New Year!!
What better way to start 2015 than with posting new works! These two sister paintings were a lot of fun to paint. Studying abstract art & then working on some was a very fulfilling experience--one I hope to continue.
